On April 25, 2019, Mahomes was announced as the cover athlete for Madden 20, making him the first Chiefs player to ever appear on the front of the video game franchises’ box art.

Mahomes father, Pat, was a Major League baseball pitcher. Over the course of his 12-year career, he pitched for six different teams: the Twins, Mets, Red Sox, Pirates, Rangers, and Cubs. He also spent two years (1997-98) in Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball for the Yokohama Bay Stars.

He Owns 180 Unique Pairs of Shoes

In September, Mahomes longtime girlfriend, Brittany Matthews, announced on Instagram that the couple was engaged to be married. “My heart is so full! I love this man so incredibly much and today was so special,” Matthews captioned a picture of the ring on her finger.

Mahomes and Matthews met while at Whitehouse High School in Texas. The couple went to prom together and have been dating for the last eight years. The happy pair lives in Kansas City together with their two dogs, Steel and Silver.
