Former Dallas TE Escobar dead in climbing accident
Former NFL tight end Gavin Escobar, who spent the bulk of his career with the Dallas Cowboys, was found dead after an apparent rock climbing accident near Idyllwild, California, CBSSports reported. The bodies of Escobar, 31, and Chelsea Walsh, 33, were found by firefighters after the accident was reported around noon Wednesday near Tahquitz Rock in the San Bernardino National Forest, ESPN reported. Rain had fallen in the area earlier in the day, but officials didn't specify if weather played a role in the accident.
Dolphins QB Tagovailoa head/neck injury update
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered head and neck injuries in a violent sack in the second quarter of night's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, CBSSports reported. Tagovailoa was taken off the field in a stretcher and transported to a local hospital, ESPN reported. Tagovailoa came into the game with back and ankle injuries and was questionable to play. On Friday, the Dolphins tweeted an update: "QB Tua Tagovailoa is expected to be discharged from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and will fly home with the team tonight." A further explanation of his medical condition was not given.

Six-time Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy savagely slammed the playing style of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray, not mincing words, CBSSports reported.
"He's trash," McCoy said. "Overhyped. Overrated."
"He plays like a high school player," McCoy continued. "Runs around, runs backward, he does a circle, the ballerina circle, then goes left, goes right, turns all the way around again, then looks for a wide receiver. That's not how you play quarterback."
Saints WR Olave NFL offensive rookie of the month
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has been named the NFL offensive rookie of the month. Olave leads all rookies in receiving yards with 268 and his second amongst rookies in receptions with 17, trailing only former teammate Garrett Wilson, in his first three games Sports Illustrated reported. The Ohio State alumnae was the No. 11 overall pick in this year’s NFL draft
Browns' RB Myles Garrett cited in car accident
Cleveland Browns star running back Myles Garrett was cited for failure to control his vehicle in a single-car accident, just days after he was released from hospitalization after suffering a bicep and shoulder strain. Garrett has previously been ticketed six times for speeding, CBSSports reported.
