Red Sox catcher Christian Vazquez was speaking to reporters during batting practice when a reporter asked him if he had been traded to the Houston Astros, according to the New York Post. "I think so, yeah," Vazquez replied. The reporter asked: "How does it feel?"
"It's a business," Vazquez said. But before any reporter could ask another question, a PR rep from the Red Sox pulled him into the clubhouse, Fox reported.
Brewers trade All-Star pitcher Josh Hader to Padres
The Milwaukee Brewers have traded their four-time All-Star and three-time NL reliever of the year recipient Josh Hader to the San Diego Padres, MLB trade rumors reports. The Brewers will receive Padres closer Taylor Rogers, right-hander Dinelson Lamet, pitching prospect Robert Gasser and outfield prospect Esteury Ruiz in exchange. The move comes before Hader's $11 million salary will jump north of $15 million next season.

Rays drop Brett Phillips, acquire José Siri from Astros
Outfielder Brett Phillips has been dropped and designated for assignment by the Tampa Bay Rays, the Tampa Bay Times reported. A Seminole, Florida native, Phillips will be remembered for his "airplane celebration" after he helped to secure a walk-off for the Rays against the Dodgers in game four of the 2020 World Series.

Yankees acquire Frankie Montas & Lou Trivino from A’s, Scott Effross from Cobbs
The New York Yankees have acquired right-hander Frankie Montas and reliever Lou Trivino from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for four minor-league players, the New York Post reported. The Yankees also acquired pitcher Scott Effross from the Cubs and sent another minor-league pitcher to Chicago.
