Cardinals extension with Kyler Murray makes him 2nd-highest paid NFL QB

Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl quarterback Kyler Murray has just signed a five-year extension worth a massive $230.5 million. The deal makes him one of the NFL's highest paid quarterbacks, ESPN reported. The annual value of the deal is $46.1 million, which puts Murray as the second highest paid quarterback in the NFL behind Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers, who earns $50.3 million annually, and ahead of Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson ($46 million) and Kansas City Chiefs Patrick Mahomes ($45 million).

The deal includes a $160 million guarantee for injury. Murray will also earn a guaranteed $105 million upon signing the deal.

JJ Watt pays funeral expenses for woman who was selling her Watt memorabilia to cover costs

A woman named Jennifer Simpson posted on Twitter she hoped to sell her Watt Reebok shoes and Watt jersey so that she could scrape enough money together to pay for her grandfather’s funeral. The news got back to Cardinals defensive end and three-time NFL defensive player of the year, JJ Watt, who tweeted back to the woman he was going to provide the needed funds.

"Don't sell your shoes and jersey, will help with the funeral," Watt tweeted. "I'm sorry for your loss."

NFL and MLB All-Star Bo Jackson anonymously donated to pay for Uvalde victims' funerals

The Associated Press reported that Bo Jackson, who was named an All-Star in both the National Football League (NFL) and Major League Baseball (MLB), flew with an anonymous friend to the city of Uvalde three days after the shooting massacre and donated a check for $170,000. He also offered to pay for all funeral expenses for the families of the victims.

"I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting old," Jackson told the AP. "It's just not right for parents to bury their kids – it's just not right."

"Please pray for all victims," Jackson added. "If you hear something, say something. I’m praying for all of the families around the country who have lost loved ones to senseless shootings. This cannot continue."

The Dallas Cowboys will wear their white throwback helmets with the corresponding jersey on Thanksgiving, CBSSports reported.
