Penguins: Rakell, Nylander, and 3 qualifying offers
The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed 6-foot-1, 195-pound forward Rickard Rakell, 29, to a six-year contract extension with an average annual value of $5 million, NHL.com reported. Rakell was an NHL All-Star in 2018.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward Alex Nylander, 24, to a one-year contract with an annual value of $750,000, NHL.com reports.
The Penguins have issued qualifying offers to three players including forwards Kasper Bjorkqvist and Kasperi Kapanen, as well as defenseman P.O Joseph, NHL.com reported.
Canadiens: Sign Pezzetta and issue 5 qualifying offers
The Montréal Canadiens have issued a one-year-contract extension to 6-foot-1, 216-pound forward Michael Pezzetta, 24, with a value of $750,000, NHL.com reported.
The Canadians also issued qualifying offers to five players including Kirby Dach (F), Nate Schnarr (F), Joel Teasdale (F), Samuel Montembeault (G) and Cayden Primeau (G), NHL.com reported.
Stars: qualifying offers to Gleason, Oettinger and Robertson
The Dallas Stars have issued qualifying offers to Ben Gleason (D), Jake Oettinger (G), and Jason Robertson (LW), NHL.com reported.
Maple Leafs: Murray
The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired goaltender Matt Murray, 28, in a trade with the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa will pay 25% of Murray's salary as part of the trade. Murray also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins over the course of his seven-year NHL career, and was part of the Stanley Cup championship teams in 2016 in 2017, as well as Canada's silver medal-winning team at the 2019 IIHF World Championships, NHL.com reported.
Lightning: Lagace
The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed 6-foot-2, 190-pound goaltender Maxime Lagace, 29, to a one-year, two-way contract, vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced. The terms of the deal weren't immediately available, NHL.com reported.
Flyers: D'Angelo
The Philadelphia Flyers have signed 5-foot-11, 180-pound defenseman Tony DeAngelo, 26, to a two-year contract with an annual value of $5 million, NHL.com reports.
Free agents: Who didn't get qualifying offers
Dallas Stars: have not issued qualifying offers to the following three players who will become unrestricted free agents on July 13. Those players are Jordan Kawaguchi (C), Alexey Lipanov (C), and Colton Point (G), NHL.com reported.
Montréal Canadians: Have not issued qualifying offers to three players who will become free agents on July 13 including Josh Brook, Kale Clague, and Rem Pitlick, NHL.com reported.
Pittsburgh Penguins: The team announced seven players will not receive qualifying offers, making them unrestricted free agents on July 13. The list includes forwards Justin Almeida, Jordy Bellerive, Jan Drozg, and Danton Heinen; defensemen Niclas Almari, Cam Lee, and Will Reilly; and goaltender Alex D'Orio, NHL.com reported.
