The Greatest NCAA Men’s Basketball Players

Wayman Tisdale, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Eagle

Years Active – 1983 – 1985

Wayman Tisdale has an impressive resume when it comes to his time at the University of Oklahoma. He was the first ever in collegiate history to be named a first-team All-American by AP during his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons. His career averages were 25.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game during his time with the Sooners.

Tisdale unfortunately passed away from cancer in 2009 at the age of 44, but his name lives on in our hearts, and in one of the US Basketball Writers Association Awards: The Wayman Tisdale National Freshman Player of the Year.
