With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trailing 10-6 in the final minute of the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Tom Brady went into a major F-bomb-laden meltdown, berating the offensive line. The tirade was captured on the bench during the Fox broadcast.
"You're so much better than the way you’re f---ing playing," Brady yelled.
University of Tennessee asks fans for donations to replace goalposts after win, fined $100K
The University of Tennessee director of athletics is asking fans for donations to replace the goalposts after fans went wild and tore them down following a historic win against Alabama on Saturday night, WBIR reported. Reportedly, the cost of the standard goalpost is roughly $5,700 each.
"Y'all remember how we tore the goalposts down, hauled 'em out of Neyland, and dumped 'em in the Tennessee River?" The University of Tennessee Football tweeted. "Yeah that was awesome. Anywho, turns out that in order to play next week's game, we need goalposts on our field. Could y'all help us out?"
SEC fines UT
At the same time, the University of Tennessee has been fined $100,000 for fans rushing onto the field, in violation of the SEC's Access to Competition Area Policy, which results in an automatic fine for the school, CBSSports reported.
Harrison Butker sets Chiefs record 62-yard field goal after stellar drive by Patrick Mahomes
With only 12 seconds to play in the first half on Sunday, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed two passes for 28 yards, setting up Kansas City kicker Harrison Butker to take a gamble with one second left in the half, CBSSports reported. Butker set a franchise record by drilling a 62-yard field goal into a fairly strong wind.
Packers Cobb out with ankle injury
Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter and Sunday's game against the New York Jets. He was carted off to the locker room in teary frustration. Green Bay declared Cobb questionable but he never returned. A later update said Cobb did not break his ankle but suffered a potential high-ankle sprain. He will have an MRI to determine the severity, CBSSports reported.
Panthers' Anderson ejected by his own team, could be traded
Panthers' Robbie Anderson was ejected by his own team in Sunday's game against the Rams after he had visible arguments with wide receivers coach Joe Dailey and interim head coach Steve Wilks.
Anderson was told to leave the locker room before the conclusion of the game, CBSSports reported. Wilks is reportedly on the trade market, while due more than $20 million in 2023 as part of a two-year contract extension signed last year.
