Golfer who sunk hole-in-one to win challenge sues club after prize withdrawn

An Arkansas man who sunk a hole-in-one on the 10th hole to win a Ford F-150, courtesy of a local dealership, is now suing the Morrilton Country Club in Arkansas after the prize was withdrawn.

The man hit the ball, and it went into the hole on the first attempt, according to a local news release. But afterward, the club and the dealership refused to give  Austin Clagett the keys or transfer the title to the 2022 Ford F-150 4x4 Supercrew, Fox reported via KATV. Clagett has now filed a civil lawsuit.

The dealership is claiming the club offered the prize without its knowledge. The lawsuit is seeking damages valued at the truck sticker price of roughly $53,000, as well as legal fees.

Deshaun Watson facing new lawsuit

Suspended Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is facing new charges after another woman filed a civil lawsuit over an alleged incident in 2020. It is the 26th known lawsuit filed against Watson, ESPN reported. Watson settled 23 of the lawsuits this summer.

Felony charges against former top basketball recruit dismissed

Emoni Bates, a 6-foot-9 forward who was once considered one of the elite basketball prospects in the country, is expected to have the felony charges against him dismissed against him and is in the process of being reinstated by Eastern Michigan University. Bates has negotiated a plea deal and is expected to plead to one misdemeanor count of attempted illegal transportation of a weapon. That charge will be entirely dismissed upon completion of a misdemeanor diversion program, ESPN reported.

Dak Prescott returns to Cowboys practice for first time since injury in week 1

Cowboys' Dak Prescott returned to practice for the first time since suffering a thumb injury in Week 1. He spent the day throwing passes. Prescott is still expected to sit out Sunday's game. His replacement, Cooper Rush, has gone 4-0 and is expected to start on Sunday, CBSSports reported.

NASCAR: Justin Allgaier, sponsor Brandt returning to JRM

JR Motorsports (JRM) announced that Justin Allgaier and sponsor Brandt will be back with the team  for the 2023 Xfinity Series. Allgaier, 36, is the winningest driver at JR Motorsports with 19 series victories (16 of those wins at JRM), NBC Sports reported.
