Raiders WR Davante Adams charged with misdemeanor assault in post-game shove of photographer

Los Angeles Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault after violently shoving a photographer following Monday night's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The charges were issued by the Kansas City Police Department, one day after a photographer filed a police report, CBSSports reported.

Adams apologized on Twitter, initially writing: "Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously (I was) very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran in front of me as I exited, that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately."

Injured student retains attorney after Adams shove

The unnamed college student, who was on his "first day on the job," accidentally walked in front of Adams after the losing game. The injured photographer was a college student who released a statement through his attorney on Wednesday, who said, "What happened was egregiously unsportsmanlike and an act of violence that should not be excused by the NFL." Curry added his firm is investigating the incident to, "evaluate [his client's] legal options."

Adams did not stop to check on the student and continued into the tunnel while a security guard helped the student to his feet. Later, the student went to the hospital complaining of whiplash, a headache, and a possible minor concussion, according to the Kansas City police report of the incident, KSHB reported, adding that Adams has retained a well-known Kansas City attorney to the wealthy, J.R. Hobbs.

Giants punter stuck in London over passport

Giants punter Jamie Gillan is stuck in London due to passport issues. His passport was not designated as a work visa, and the issue slipped through the cracks when he traveled to London. US diplomats are working on a new passport. The "Scottish hammer" is expected to fly back soon, possibly on Thursday. However, the Giants have a backup plan and will work out punters in case Gillan cannot play this weekend, CBSSports reported.
