Felony charges filed against Hornets Miles Bridges for domestic violence and child abuse
Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges, currently a restricted free agent with the team, is now facing three felony domestic violence charges. The charges stem from a June 29 incident where he was arrested and later released on $130,000 bond.
Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon announced that his office had filed one felony count of injuring a child's parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death against Bridges, who is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, ESPN reported.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Bridges, has played 4 seasons in the NBA and was the Hornets' leading scorer last season. Prior to his arrest, the Hornets extended Bridges a qualifying offer.
Warriors All-Star Wiggins on his one regret this season
Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins, 27, had a year to remember – making his first NBA All-Star team, as well as being part of the Golden State's run to the NBA title. Yet, with all that, he still has regret over one thing he did this season, ESPN reported.
"I still wish I didn't get [vaccinated], to be honest with you," Wiggins told FanSided.
"I did it, and I was an All-Star this year and champion, so that was the good part, just not missing out on the year, the best year of my career," Wiggins said. "But for my body, I just don't like putting all that stuff in my body, so I didn't like that and I didn't like that it wasn't my choice. I didn't like that it was either get this or don't play."
