Sean Payton could return to NFL coaching in 2023

In January, Sean Payton stepped down as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints. And now, reports say Payton could be returning to NFL coaching in 2023 and a handful of destinations are of interest to him, CBSSports reported.

A recent report from the Miami Herald, citing an unnamed source, said possible destinations could be the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Chargers for Payton next year if those jobs open up.

The source says the Dolphins were interested in poaching Payton from New Orleans before hiring Mike McDaniel but were never granted permission by the Saints to speak with him after they made the request and did not want to engage in a tampering scandal. However, the report adds that Payton was flattered by the interest from Miami.

Not loving it: Pittsburgh Steelers fans and players on new stadium name

Heinz Field has been the name of Pittsburgh's football stadium for 21 years, named after one of the world's most visible food brands. The Pittsburgh-headquartered company has deep local roots. But now, the name of the stadium has been re-christened after an insurance company that many, if not most, people have never heard of.

In 2022, Heinz Field will now become Acrisure Stadium after the Steelers sold naming rights to the Michigan-based firm for an undisclosed amount, the Post-Gazette reports.

According to the Pittsburgh news outlet, the fans absolutely hate the new name. And they're not alone. The Steelers players aren't exactly loving it either.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger tweeted: "I can't believe it. It doesn't seem right or real! Home will always be Heinz Field! I will never forget the last game, and all the amazing fans at FOREVER HEINZ!"

Chiefs Reed says team just fine without Tyreek Hill: "We have the greatest football quarterback in the game"

Kansas City's new safety Justin Reid, who joined the team in free agency, says the Chiefs are going to do just fine after trading away star receiver Tyreek Hill in the spring to the Miami Dolphins, CBSSports reports.

"Pay attention to this," Reid said about the Chiefs' new-look offense. "The Chiefs offense is gonna do what we always do. We're gonna come out, we're gonna put up 100 points."

"We have the greatest football quarterback in the game," Reid continued. "and when you have a quarterback, and you have an offensive system, a coordinator that is able to just mix things up all the time, you're always gonna put up points."

"We're gonna go out and win games," Reid added.

Patriots trade wide receiver N’Keal Harry to Chicago Bears

The New England Patriots officially traded wide receiver N’Keal Harry to the Chicago Bears on Wednesday. Harry was a first round pick in the 2019 NFL draft. A number of Patriots players seem to cheer on Harry, who had a disappointing tenure in New England, to seize the new opportunity, NESN reported.
